Cleansing is the Basis of Any Acne Care Routine

by Abigail Mckenzee

Acne can manifest itself as a mild and sporadic case or as a severe and painful occurrence, however, no matter what the case, you should take precautionary measures and adopt the proper acne skin care routine. Taking the appropriate steps to deal with your acne condition now can help you avoid permanent damage.

As you see, acne is a disease that leads to the inflammation of unhealthy and healthy skin tissue. This inflammatory response is a natural occurrence related to the appearance of acne infection. Acne bacteria can appear around common lesions like pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads.

Acne lesions can appear in the deeper layers of the skin around the face, neck, and scalp. It is these deeper lesions, known as cysts or nodules, that can lead to severe scarring if not treated properly.

The main cause of acne is clogged pores. During puberty, sebum production is increased due to the release of growth hormones. However, in some teenagers this normal increase can become excessive.

Furthermore, the skin's natural shedding process can become irregular which, in turn, can join up with the excess sebum to clog pores. Clogged pores keep bacteria trapped inside the hair follicle making it an ideal place for infection and, subsequently, pimples.

Acne is commonly an inherited trait, however, don't let this make you believe that there isn't a solution. Common acne solutions may include antibiotics, strong medication, or gentle and safe natural acne care.

Treatment Options that Can Help Prevent Acne and Scars

A regular and rigorous cleansing routine is the best way to control your acne and to prevent subsequent scarring. The reason your cleansing routine is so important is because it helps remove excess debris, oil and dead skin cells, which tend to clog pores. It will also help eliminate acne bacteria from the surface of your skin.

The acne products you choose should also contain a few key ingredients. Salicylic acid and retinol or retinoic acid are an essential part of your acne routine.

Benefits of Salicylic Acid

Salicylic acid is helpful in correcting an irregular shedding process. It works by chemically exfoliating the skin and removing dead skin cells. It is amazingly effective at penetrating the follicle and encouraging the shedding process from within.

The acid reaches inside the pore and helps keep it clean and free from black heads. If you have sensitive or dry skin then you should be especially cautious. This ingredient may cause irritation.

Now the Benefits of Retinoic Acid

For years acne has been treated using retinol, a Vitamin A derivative that functions primarily by inhibiting the production of sebum.

Don't make your acne worse by preferring tradition acne products, instead, use natural products such as BIOACNECARE. This product is made with snail serum, a natural ingredient that helps make it a gentle yet effective product that can help prevent acne and eliminate blackheads and other acne lesions.
